setting a script to run after the modem connects..
I have a working script to update my dynamic IP to freedns, my adsl modem connects at boot and generally stays connected until I shut down, as a result I don't really need to run the script unless for somereason I have disconnected.
I have found a file /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifup-ppp which, though being in martian to me, is quite fascinating and I can't help but think this is the place to call the script from.
how though?
As it connects at boot I want to be sure it just calls it then returns to the boot sequence, so maybe this place wouldn't be ideal.
Alternatively I could get it to run at boot but then I would have to manually run it again after a disconnect. Ideally I would like to run it just after the connection is established.
