Linux and Windows XP
I just downloaded and burned to disc Mandrake 10.0. I insert the disc and click to install linux. I am told I have to reboot the computer for the installation to take effect. I click "ok" and my laptop reboots. But when it reboots, it completely ignores the disc and boots directly up to windows xp. I checked my boot sequence and my disc drive is the first in order to boot, followed by my floppy (which I don't have in my laptop) and then my harddrive. I am trying to install on a sony VAIO notebook if that information helps. So essencially I insert disc, reboot to begin installation, and the installation is skipped over and does not begin. Help Please.

When you say you burned the disk, you did use a program to write is as an ISO and not just drag the ISO onto your burner drive?
