I thought it does not occur in 10.1...
However: That's just what happens in mandrake..
Try:
Boot in filesafe mode
Then telinit 3 (or 4)
Finally pass/usr and startx... should work.

Could you please explain me if that pass/usr is a command? or how can I issue that? Thanks a lot.

Well that's not a way to repair the system, but just to ommit the problem.
I didn't mean any command (just write your username and password, when prompted
)
I don't remember where can you do that (it was quite easy), but you can change your default runlevel. (That should help, if booting withhelped)Code:telinit 3 or 4
Google "default runlevel mandrake", something should be there.
Unfortunately I don't know any other fix to this problem, than changing runlevel...
Changing a runlevel does not change anything exept the need of logging to system from console (in 10.0, not sure about newer)
