I thought it does not occur in 10.1...
However: That's just what happens in mandrake..
    Try:
    Boot in filesafe mode
    Then telinit 3 (or 4)
Finally pass/usr and startx... should work.

Well, I have the same problem. Please take a look at my post

Could you please explain me if that pass/usr is a command? or how can I issue that? Thanks a lot.

Well that's not a way to repair the system, but just to ommit the problem.
I didn't mean any command (just write your username and password, when prompted )
I don't remember where can you do that (it was quite easy), but you can change your default runlevel. (That should help, if booting with
    Code:
    telinit 3 or 4
    helped)
Google "default runlevel mandrake", something should be there.
Unfortunately I don't know any other fix to this problem, than changing runlevel...
Changing a runlevel does not change anything exept the need of logging to system from console (in 10.0, not sure about newer)

kasra are you using the same modem for another computer? If you are, what
operating system is on that computer?
