X and Gnome Don't Boot Automatically Anymore
So, just randomly today when I booted Mandrake it didn't automatically load my Gnome desktop. I've tried a couple times now, but everytime I have to login in and type startx to get to anything. This is kind of a pain in the butt. Linux boot times are slow enough as it is. Anyone know what config file I need to mess with to get X to start starting on its own again?

Look in your /etc/inittab and change : id:3:initdefault: into id:5:initdefault:
