    tv tuner leadtek winfast tv2000xp expert on MDK 10.0

    I'm a newby and I can't configure my tv tuner (leadtek winfast tv2000xp expert). The chipset is Conexant 23881, tuner type TDA9887.

    Try modprobe cx8800 and then modprobe tda9887 . That will load the necesary modules for your tv tuner. To make this change permanent ,edit
    the modprobe.conf file found in /etc adding the following lines in the tv card section :

    alias char-major-81 videodev
    alias char-major-81-0 cx8800
    alias char-major-81-1 cx8800
    alias char-major-81-2 cx8800
    alias char-major-81-3 cx8800

    options cx8800 irq_debug=1 tuner=38 card=5 video_debug=1 audio_debug=1 video_nr=0 radio_nr=0

    I,m also new in this so....
    My Mandriva 10 see leadtek winfast2000 expert tv card but partially - there is picture on tv but no radio and remote control...what did I miss? Or there is something I need more...?
    I also have winxp on same PC and TV card work fine with manufacturer software which I received with card...please help
