10.1 internet connection
Hello all: I've installed 10.1 in my daughters comp, after failing to get the winmodem config'd i bought a serial modem 56SX-92. All went well (using the wizard)until it asked to connect to the internet, where I recieved a cannot connect message. The modem is recognized ok, it dials, ect... at the command.
The wizard does not have a provider listing for the U.S? This seems weird, had to use the manual selection.A few quick questions, what do I put in the connection name box? the provider (AOL)? and what about the authentification box?
I know that the dial in number is good, we tried it on a laptop with XP. A big thanks in advance. Learnin...

I see you're problem. You see AOL is one of like 1% of ISP's that cannot run under linux. 99% of ISP's actually do but this is an exception because of the AOL client. You can still use aol instant messenger though just through another ISP.
