    Wireless networks in Mandrake 9.1


    i am a complete linux Noob and this is the 100th time ive tried to get to grips with it. The problem i am having is getting my Am1772 wireless chipset lan, to be detected and im getting nowhere fast. Does anyone know where i can get a linux driver from for this wireless card?

    Whats the name of the wireless card? You gave the chipset which really doesn't help much considering different wireless cards use the chipset.

    all i can get off my computer is that its a Advanced Micro Devices (aka AMD) AM1772 wireless lan chipset.....to be honest i think even windows knows what it is

    An easy way to get to know which chipset your WLAN adapter has, is to issue the comman
    Code:
    lspci
    (as root) and paste the input into this thread.

    its unknown :'( the console gave this back:

    rf controller AMD : unknown device 2003 : (rev 04)

    very meaningless
