asrock k7s41gx+mandrake 10 -> integrated vga not recogniz
Hi,
First, all my apologizes if this is too dumb a question, i'm totally new to Linux.
I've just installed mandrake 10 official on an asrock k7s41gx motherboard. The integrated VGA chipset from SIS (Real 256E 3d - 64 Mb shared) isn't recogniezd... Once the install is finished, i'm told that Xfree86 isn't configured. It seems that the file /etc/X11/XFconfig86 isn't created during the install process.
When i launch startx, i get the following message :
execve failed for /etc/X11/X (errno2) giving up
xinit : No such file or directory (errno 2)
xinit : No such process (errno 3)

Mandrake + k7s41gx
Fed up with trying different seetings, I switched to Suse 9.1 and everything is working great with this distrib... I read that Gentoo and Debian seem to do it as well. Hope this info will help people with k7s41gx....
