How do I remove Unwanted icon from desktop ?
I am new to linux and am running Mandrake 9.1
Having just downloaded some photos from my digital camera using a usb port, I now find that I have an additional icon on my desktop which i can't get rid of.
It says Hard disk (CD) (Not Mounted).
How the hell did it get there? How can i get rid of it?

Mandrake is set to display device icons on the desktop by default (if you put a cd in, it will pop up a cd icon, for example). If you want to turn this off, you can go into the KDE control center and in Behavior (may be in the Desktop section, don't remember off the top of my head) click on the Device Icons tab and uncheck the box next to Show Device Icons.
There are two major products that come out of Berkeley: LSD and UNIX. We don't believe this to be a coincidence.
