how to play dvd with the given media players?!
Hi everyone,
I finally was able to successfully install Mandrake LInux 10.1 in my laptop. I am really excited about trying this distro.
I tried to play dvd from the given media player softwares but it said that i don't have enough resources...do I have to download some other softwares from the internet to be able to see dvd movies using Linux?! please let me know what can be done.

there should be mplayer and xine rpms given in your distro cds. Otherwise you can download them from http://mplayerhq.hu/homepage/index.html and http://xinehq.de/ .
these two are the best choices when it comes to watching videos in Linux. You may also use Videolan or vlc.

Make sure to setup URPMI using the instructions here:
http://easyurpmi.zarb.org/
After that, you have to install libdvdcss. You should be able to use this command, if you've setup URPMI correctly
