I shut down my computer (Mandrake 9.1) improperly and used "fsck -A -V ; echo ==&? ==" to repair the filesystem. The return number is 8, which is "operational error" but I don't know what that means...

Does anyone know how to mount the original filesystems back? I searched the postings but cannot find related issues...
