    Connecting To Microsoft Network From Mandrake 10.1

    hey there....I have always been a great fan of linux all over these years but I have just started using it since last week and the major major problem that I am facing is that I have a network setup on MICROSOFT WINDOWS 2003 ADVANCE SERVER and running ISA PROXY SERVER and I have setup MANDRAKE 10.1 and configured it as a workstation but when I try to connect it to my MICROSOFT PROXY SERVER I cant do that.....even after putting the proxies and all other network information I just cant seem to login I have been assigned an ip address by the dhcp server from MICROSOFT NETWORK that I am running but cant seem to login to the proxy server........ all the time I get a message saying cannot open page www.yahoo.com and blah blah....

    SUCH A SHAME !!

    such a shame no one thought of replying......anyways i found out the ans myself......the reason i couldnt logon to the internet was because i was being assigned ip by microsoft dhcp but for a wonder that wouldnt let me login to proxy internet as i changed my ip to static ip address it all started working smoooth....
