bad signatures when updating
when do urpmi item i get a bad signature for anything that is downloaded:
# urpmi glibc
To satisfy dependencies, the following 2 packages are going to be installed (19 MB):
glibc-2.3.3-23.1.101mdk.i586
glibc-devel-2.3.3-23.1.101mdk.i586
Is this OK? (Y/n) y
ftp://ftp.sunsite.org.uk/package/man...01mdk.i586.rpm
ftp://ftp.sunsite.org.uk/package/man...01mdk.i586.rpm
The following packages have bad signatures:
/var/cache/urpmi/rpms/glibc-devel-2.3.3-23.1.101mdk.i586.rpm: Invalid Key ID (sha1 md5 gpg GPG#22458a98 OK)
Do you want to continue installation ? (y/N)
I removed updates from the media manager and tried again, but then both files got the errors. I then tried the screensavers and the following is what happened.
# urpmi xscreensaver-gl
ftp://ftp.sunsite.org.uk/package/man...01mdk.i586.rpm
The following packages have bad signatures:
/var/cache/urpmi/rpms/xscreensaver-gl-4.18-2.1.101mdk.i586.rpm: Invalid Key ID ((sha1) dsa sha1 md5 gpg GPG#22458a98 OK)
Do you want to continue installation ? (y/N) y
installing /var/cache/urpmi/rpms/xscreensaver-gl-4.18-2.1.101mdk.i586.rpm
Preparing... ##################################################

screensaver-gl ##################################################

It's not all that uncommon to have glitches during the downloading of files. Try a different mirror and see if you get better results.
The check is telling you that the checksums do not match up and the download is corrupted.Registered Linux user #384279
