    Updater Freezing

Hi I'm on Mand. 10.1 and when I use the updater it seems to freeze on me. I use the updater through the control center. Here are my PC specs:
    AMD 1800+ Ath XP @ 1.5 GHz
    384 MB Ram
80 GB Western Digital HD ~7000 RPM
    MSI KT6V mobo
    2 cd drives, 1 floppy

I'd appreciate any assistance. If you need any more details feel free to respond. My guess is it might be hardware because I have a 128 ram at 266 mhz and a 256 ram at 333 mhz.

Could you post your solution here in case someone else has this problem?
