LE and Memory Stick card reader

I've got LE running and having problems with getting card reader recognised. It's USB 2.0 and knoppix recognises it as genesys GL817 reader and loads it in /mnt/sda1 from desktop icon, and I can view phots.

In Mandrvia I've run lsusb but it's not detected.

Anyone got any ideas? I'm pretty new to linux (since Jan 05), and not wonderful in command line, but can (mostly ) follow instructions.

    thanks

From another source advised to enable 'acpi' in MCC Servers and reboot. I did this, and USB devices now working. May help someone else perhaps. Apparently also works for some sound problems.

Should be MCC, boot, and options on boot.
