usb problem.

hi guys
my problem is in how to use the usb mobile drive. i'm using mandrake linux 9.0. when i insert the
drive it seems that i can copy files to a virtual drive coz when i go to a windows machine or another linux machine, the file does not exist. in short how do i get to use this drive with linux.

Can you be a little more specific? Are you talking about a mass media USB stick? It mounts as ---- when you plug it in to your MDK 9.0 box and then ---- when you plug it in to your ----- (<-insert 2nd Linux distro) box. The file exists when you plug it back into your 9.0 box? etc...
