I'm a relative newbie to Mandrake 10.1 and not yet command line literate in Linux so, I use the Control Center for most stuff, including updates. Here's the problem. I have another identical 10.1 system (except it's setup for Win98 dual-boot - the first system is mandrake 10.1 only). Both share a slow DU line for updates, so to save time, I would like to burn a CD copy of the downloaded update files and manually carry them over to the second (identical hardware) system to use as an update source. Is this possible to do without a lot of work (and problems)? If so, where would I find the folders that contain the downloaded update files? Is there such a folder, or is a temp file used? Any help is appreciated.
Cheers,
