    AVI doesn't play at all? You'll probably need to download codecs for Mandrake in order to play AVI files You can try downloading the codecs from here: http://www.mplayerhq.hu/homepage/design7/codecs.html

    Also, for streaming, try installing mplayerplug-in: http://mplayerplug-in.sourceforge.net/ The installations for all this should be on the sites.
