When you install the OS, look for a default runlevel, it will probably say it wants to set it to level 5.
You will want to set this to level 3.
If you don't see this during the install, open a terminal/console, type "su" then you will be asked for your root password.
Now doHit " i " to bring you to INSERT mode, look for the line where it says the initdefault is 4 or 5, change that to a 3, hit ESC, then type "ZZ" to quit and save your work.Code:vi /etc/inittab
Hope this helps. How to know if you are a geek.
when you respond to "get a life!" with "what's the URL?"
