WEP not working in LE2005
In control center > reconfigure a network interface > wireless tab, I entered the encryption key. But when I typed 'ifup eth1', I got error message
Error for wireless request "Set Encode" (8B2A) :
invalid argument "mmmmmmmmmmmmm". <- the encryption key
when I typed iwconfig, I got this
eth1 unassociated ESSID:"level1" Nickname:"satellite"
Mode:Managed Channel=0 Access Point: 00:00:00:00:00:00
Bit Rate=0 kb/s Tx-Power:off
Retry:on RTS thr:off Fragment thr:off
Encryption key:off
Power Management:off
Link Quality:0 Signal level:0 Noise level:0
Rx invalid nwid:0 Rx invalid crypt:0 Rx invalid frag:0
Tx excessive retries:0 Invalid misc:0 Missed beacon:0
If WEP is off, it works. Does anyone know what's wrong?

Are you actually using mmmmmmm...?
I only ask because I think it has to be digits, not alpha. Not 100%, but I remember seeing this message when I was messing around before putting my name in as WEP key.

I'm quite sure it doesn't need to be digits, because I'm using some special characters, like .;[, for the WEP key on my winxp. I also have it worked on Fedora Core 3. Don't know why it stucks on Mandrake.
