    Hibernate/Suspend

    You need to specify resume=/dev/hda6 at kernel booting
    I am fairly new to linux, and I don't know what to do.
    I am trying to get linux to hibernate so I don't have to wait extremely long for linux to boot when I switch OSes, and so my programs remain in memory.

    add:
    resume=/dev/hda9
    to the "append=" for your kernel in lilo.conf

    then run "lilo -v" on the command line
