When I installed this 2005LE, it installed firefox 1.0.2 but I understood that they'd released 0.3 and 0.4 as security patches.
Even though I did look around various parts of mandrake/mandrivas site, there was no mention of an update from 1.0.2 to 1.0.4 - though I did see that someone mentioned that "they" seemed to incorporated the 1.0.4 security patch in the rpm for 1.0.2 on the mandrake mirrors.
I don't know how correct that is.
Personally, I uninstalled it, and then "got it" from the firefox site as a tar.gz and installed it that way.
I checked the various obvious options for an icon. Instead I had to open the "link to application" facility, then check "other icons", found nothing and then searched for it, and found one that did the job in /usr/share/firefox/icons - theres a limited selection there, but it kept me happy!
regards
John
