difficulty installing codecs for Kaffeine. Using 10.2.
I've installed the essential codec package from http://www1.mplayerhq.hu/homepage/design7/codecs.html, and extracted it to /usr/lib/win32, and I have set the xine parameters' codec path to that same directory. Nevertheless, I cannot run .wmv files. Any suggestions?

I had done the exact same thing and had the same problem. To correct this is very simple. Go to http://cambuca.ldhs.cetuc.puc-rio.br/xine/ and download "libxine1-1.0.1cvs-050611.i586.rpm". You shouldn't need to download anything else if you have already extracted the codec pack to /usr/lib/win32.
When it is downloaded it will ask to either save it or open with Software Installer. Open it with Software Installer. It might tell you that it has to uninstall one package in order to upgrade others, if you have the -devel rpm installed already. Just say OK and after it is finished installing successfully Kaffeine should play WMV files properly.
