k3b mystery "sorry package cannot be selected"
I recently put a sony dvd-rw drive in my machine and am not able to install k3b at all for some reason. unlike when a dependency is missing, this just says that it cannot be selected without any elaboration. I have the three cds, all the urpmi sources and thacs enabled
and have never had any problems like this before... why might this be?
when I type urpmi k3b into console as root it tells me "everything already installed"
but when I try to run it, as root or user, it tells me "command not found" and it doesnot
show up in the list for removal in mcc.
this is mysterious to me.
help!
thanks!

You might want to deselect the "other" sources for a moment and try using just the cds...I've seen conflicting packages from disparate sources cause some strange urpmi behavior.
There are two major products that come out of Berkeley: LSD and UNIX. We don't believe this to be a coincidence.
