This is really odd. I installed Mandrake 10.1 on my dekstop fine, but when iintall it ontto my laptop over window xp it says the following error:

Hi guys,
This is really odd. I installed Mandrake 10.1 on my dekstop fine, but when iintall it ontto my laptop over window xp it says the following error:
So i deleted all my partitions via the Mandrake patition manager an then tried but i get the same error.An error occurred No hdlists found
I cannont think of why i would have this error.
Any ideas?

Right, i tried installing xp again and i had no hard ware problems. So i can't see why it is saying my hard drive has a fault. Dont have a clue what to do because i really want to run Mandrake. Ermmm what to do. Can i use Knoppix to sort out paritioning and formatting etc....?

How odd,
Right i tried installing again but i thought lets try the text interface, and voila it worked. I dont have a clue as to why the text installer worked but the GUI installer gave me errors. Oh well. Am happy now.
