Well i finally got it working, i solved all my problems, and i am now running mandriva
.
Now just a few random quetsions. Can i resize my screen?
And how do i see my harddrives?

You can resize your screen using the MCC, click on start button equivalent -> Settings -> Configure Your Computer -> Control Center and you can play around with the screen options and stuff.
By seeing your hard drives, i assume you mean something like Explorer. Simply click on the icon which looks like a House and that will take you to your home directory (Equivalent to My Documents in Windows XP). From here if you wish to see our c:\ drive equivalent, use Type / into the address bar. For CD ROMS, goto /mnt and select the cdrom (not you may need to mount the cd roms before reading from it).
Also, post here the steps you took to solve the FTP transfer problem so that the next person who has a similar problem can find a solution easier.Life is complex, it has a real part and an imaginary part.

Ok sick thanks for the help man.
To fix the problem i had with the ftp stuff, i just used a different ftp address that i found on another site. Here it is
ftp.uni-bayreuth.de
/pub/linux/Mandrakelinux/official/10.1/i586
Also, how do i resize the text size on the bottom taskbar?

I think theres a fonts sub-menu when you right click on the taskbar, im not sure, also you could try the MCC and there should be a fonts entry. Im not too sure as im not at my Mandrake box right now.
