Problem booting Mandrake 10.1
I'm having problems booting 10.1 it loads fine untill it gets to
Looking for new hardware
Then it stops and does nothing else.
It doesn't freeze up because when I hit ctrl-alt-delete it kills all and reboots my comp.
Is there a way to bypass the Looking for new hardware feature?
I reinstalled it twice and each time it does the same thing.
I had 10.0 and it worked fine.
Thanks for the help.

Figured something out atleast.
I found out it was my cable modem that was doing it. But I have come to another problem.
When i disconnect the modem from the USB port everything loads fine, I get into KDE and rehook my modem and a window pops up saying...
Disabling IRQ #21
and my internet doesn't work.
Help please thanks.

Oh boy! I've had this (similar at least) problem before! It has something to with your BIOS settings. Look around for anything pretaining to IRQ in your BIOS menu and post what the options are and hopefully I can help!
