System Shutdown
Greetings! I'm running Mandriva 2005 LE on a fairly new desktop PC. My problem comes when shutting down the system. It runs all the shutdown processes, but when it comes time to power down the machine itself, it sits there until I physically press the power button to turn it off.
I was wondering if there is something that I need to configure in the settings, because, AFAIK, the machine itself has been working properly since I bought it?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Open up Mandrake Control Center (Configure My Computer in the System section of the start menu) and go to Boot -> Set up How the System Boots. Check the box next to Enable ACPI.
There are two major products that come out of Berkeley: LSD and UNIX. We don't believe this to be a coincidence.
