    Mandriva and AMD x64 - Help a newbie!

    Hey

    I want to use linux for the first time. I asked some people and mandriva seems the one for me. I want to ask some questions though:

    - Is that a stable version for AMD-64 systems? Links?
    - What 386, 586 ets means? I find this a lot!
    - I have nVIDIA nFORCE4 motherboard with PCI express nVIDIA GeForce 3D-card. Are there any drivers for mandriva 64bit?
