    installing mandrake 10.1

Ok i downloaded the three cd's and burnt them. Unfortunately i put them in folders on the cds, so when i access the cd it starts with...

    mandrake disk 1 = open

    all the mandrake files.

ive made a floppy boot disk and restart my laptop.

when it reads the cd it comes up with the message

That cdrom disc does not seem to be a MandrakeLinux Installation cdrom.
    Retry with another disc?

you should burn the downloaded files as images not just copy them to cd. Have you burnt the cd's as images?

    Yes.

Use a program such as Alcohol 120% to burn the .iso image to your cd's. Then, you will be ready to roll.
