I am using Mandrake 10.1 official and I can play a CD fine, sounds great but the system sound is only 1 very distorted sound. Within a flash web page the sound generated from the flash page is again the system distorted sound.
I am using, ES1983S Maestro-3i PCI Audio Accelerator, the driver is maestro3.

I am not sure what has exacly changed but I took a chance and updated 'all' installed packages and after a reboot all is working perfectly.
