open a konsole su to root
Code:
su
password: <enter root passward> enter
then type
Code:
chmod 755 /home/jesse/
and that should do it!

if not please paste the output of
Code:
ls -al /
and the output of
Code:
ls -al /home
here
so we can look at the ownership of your users directory

crap i just noticed that you cant even get into kde.... so try logging into kde as root! root will not be in the list so just type it in then give the root password and that should start then continue above ^^^
