you should login, and then run
    Code:
    startx
if that works edit your /etc/inittab and change the line that reads
    Code:
    id:3:initdefault:
    to
    Code:
    id:5:initdefault:
If it doesn't work, post the error you get here.

Try configuring the Mandrake X configuration program
    Code:
    drakexcfg
I think the command is, but I'm not sure, I'm sure somone will correct me if I'm wrong

    xdrake is bad command.

when ŕ try with drakconf, it post me the control center and aske me to choose one element of the list:

    - Boot loader
    - clavier (keyboard)
    - Display
    - Firewal
    - Automatic installation
    - network & internet
    - partitions
    - mouse
    - users and groups

I choose "display" and it aske me the first CD of installation, i did it

but whene i robot i have the same problem. lol

Try and boot the cd (makeing sure the cd is higher than the hard drive in the BIOS) and selecting repair.

Somthing has gone belly up on your instalation, though since this is the Community edition, which is a beta relese you might consider upgrading to official or Mandriva 2005LE even.

Fatal sever error: No screen found

I use Acer TravelMate 230 but because my monitor break down I use external monitor of Compaq 710 and Linux detects my external monitor. I don't understand why my monitor works fine during Linux installation but it can not boot to user interface.

What can I do to solve this problem, I really want to use Linux and I try many distributions but it happends the same. Maybe because of my hardware or drivers I don't understand but when I install MS Windows it works fine.
