Hello, I am using Fedora Core 3, so I apologize for posting in the wrong forum, but I have been facing the exact same problem. When I try to run ./thunderbird from the thunderbird directory that I extracted the tarball into, it gives me the following error:
Any idea what I can do to resolve this problem? Any help is much appreciated.Code:./thunderbird-bin: error while loading shared libraries: libXp.so.6: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

you probably will need to download that particular library, or you will have to execute that command as root.
try downloading from pboneLife is complex, it has a real part and an imaginary part.

I have the same problem he has. I do have the run-mozilla.sh and i type './run-mozilla.sh'. It tells me Cannot execute.
And i believe i got the other error about the library, which brings me to the question 'how do you install a library in linux?'
