just a few noob questions that can be answerd in one sentence
i have Mandrake mandirva 2005 LE, how do i change the resolution, the max it can do is 800x600 using the GUI, how do i make it goto 1024x800

does this version come with samba or a part of samba enough to share over a LAN

You will need to edit your xorg.conf file. Adding resolution 1024 X 768
As for the Samba, I have no idea.Code:nano -w /etc/X11/xorg.conf

smaba should be included in the servers section of the installation, you will have to manually select it and configre it yourself, otherwise see samba.org
also resoultion can be changed in the Mandrake control center.Life is complex, it has a real part and an imaginary part.
