Split stereo mp3 for surround sound?
My SoundBlaster Live 24-bit card works fine on Mandriva 2005 LE; it's detected as SB Audigy LS and uses the snd-ca0106 driver. I'm happy--I took out the old card, stuck in the new the card and booted up, Linux did the rest.
I have surround sound for DVD, but only stereo for mp3. I understand why, but I'm wondering whether there is a Linux equivalent to the Creative software (the name escapes me ATM) in Windows that splits the stereo channels and "simulates" true surround sound, or whether there is some way I could do that.
