Mandriva installer does not recognize Sata disk What I do?
I have tried to install the last version of Mandrake
(Mandriva)Linux Limited edition 2005 in my new computer
with AMD 64 ATHLON, Asus mother board and hard disk Seagate series
3160827 AS ata.
After choosing the language it leaves a screen: "disk/ide Has some IDE interface ? ”.
Next it appearsa list different interfaces
I have try with all those that say ata or sata and always gives
error. I have reviewed the BIOS and everything goes well, in addition
it works perfectly with win XP Prof that I have
installed.
Whay dont recognice the Sata hard disk? What I can make to install Mandriva saved that problem?
thanks

I think at the time of install you selected "Advance mode" . That's why you need to choice your self.
Don't select "Advance mode" .
I used Mandrake 10.0 with Samsang SATA HDD.

try scsi interface, for some reason, linux recognizes sata disks using the scsi driver.
