    Invalid hdlist description


    Ive searched around on google and couldnt find an englihs answer they are all french so they translate making no sense.

    My problem is when i try to install Mandriva, right after i selectt the partition, it starts to format the partition but then it say (quote) Invalid hdlist description " (end quote) does anyone know what this is and is there a solution. Any feedback will be appreciated.

    the hdlist.cz file is what Mandriva uses to store the location of programs on the installation media and on ftp servers. When you get the invlid hdlist error, it means that your cd/dvd is corrupt. try checking the md5sum of the iso before burning it. If it comes up with a mismatched md5sum, redownload the iso and reburn it.
