Control Center hangs

Hi all,

Every once in a while, my Mandrakelinux Control Centere freezes after logging in as root. The splash screen just hangs there and I need to restart. Has anyone experienced this before?

Run control center from console to see error messages. This will give you an idea of what goes wrong when you run the app.

I used to have this trouble. There are two or three reaons, but the most common one is session saving. Do you have KDE configured to save your sessions? Under Session Management select start with an empty session or list mcc as an application to be excluded from sessions-saving. If that doesn't work post back and let me know.

I have the same problem. I've tried your suggestions to no avail. When starting mcc from a terminal there are no messages. Any other suggestions?
