Noob needs help
I am running the free download version of MandrakeLinux 10.1. It is running the KDE 3.2 . I am having trouble with installing packages. This is my first linux computer, which is why I chose Mandrake. I keep trying to install a software package (namely wine) from the "install packages" option of RPMdrake. It keeps telling me that the software has been successfully installed, but never tells me where the application is or how to run it. Can someone help?

You usually don't launch Wine independently. If you try double-clicking on an .exe file, Mandrake should try to use Wine to launch it.
