USB drivers for Mandrake Linux 9
Hi,
I'm looking for someone who could help me in understanding how to install USB drivers for Mandrake Linux 9. I recently installed Mandrake on my PC and find that the USB ports are not detected.

What do you mean, they're not detected? Are they in harddrake?

jeremy, what i meant was when i plug in the thumb drive into the usb port, it does not show up in the removable media in the file manager, is it a problem with the config or am i missing a driver ?
btw, are you a star trek fan ?

20t40,
Have you installed hotplugging? If not, it should be available as an rpm to install.
And yes, I'm pretty big fan of Star Trek, hence the 1701.

Hotplugging is what takes care of deviced plugged into a USB port. It created the mount point and desktop icons for you automagically rather then having to do it by hand. You should have an rpm called hotplug(ging). Make sure that it is installed. You can see if it's installed or install it using Mandrake Control Center > Software > Install | Mange | etc...
