Need Help Installin Mandriva 10.2 on Vmware 4.5.1

Howdi Pals,

I am a newbee on Linux and nee dsome help installing Mandriva 10.2 on Vmware 4.5.1

When I go through the GUI, I reach the part where it configures partitions and I get the following error

'An error occured
Invalid hdlist description'

I tried creating the partitions my self and the same happened.

could anybody please help.

the invalid hdlist error means the media is corrupted, the hdlist.cz file is where Mandriva looks to see the location of programs and other stuff.

I suggest you redownload the iso's and check the md5sum before burning.

I wouldn't have a clue as I don't know what exactly is a "security Audit system base" and what are its requirements.
