I have installed Mandrake linux9.0 from CD ...I havent installed thje kernel sources since i've only one CD ... But when i installed my modem it
asks me to install the kernel souces...Is there any other way for installing modem without kernel sources ...

nope, kernel sources are required for compiling the correct module for the modem, and you need the kernel sources installed.
However, you can download the kernel sources from another computer and install it on your system.Life is complex, it has a real part and an imaginary part.
