when installing mandriva le 2005 from hard drive.......

i get an error saying

Code:

An error occurred
no hdlists found

now i burned an iso of the dvd and i get this error but when i copy them all to the windows partition straight from the dvd all the packages wont install can anyone help me on this one

You need to burn the iso to a DVD image (not a data DVD of the iso), you can't install it from a hard drive.

the reason i did that was because my system is having trouble insalling anything from a dvd it gives me this error

i can't access a Mandrakelinux installation disc in your CDROM drive &#40;ASUS DVD-E616P3&#41; Retry

then the options yes no or back are there

You need to get the CD installation set instead of using the DVD version.
