    lpr - command prompt printing but getting GUI

    Hi

    I am trying to use lpr to print from a command line.
    But everytime I run lpr - it opens kprinter.

    I dont want to use a GUI - just the command line to print off to a printer.

    Could anyone explain how to make lpr not use the gui?

    Hmm, you may want to try the command lp to print, you may also want to run
    Code:
    type lpr
    to see if lpr is linked or aliased to kprinter
