    There should be a default option at the top of your /boot/grub/menu.lst.
    Change the number next to it to the number of the OS you want. For example, if your list had Linux and Windows in this order:

    Linux
    Windows

    Linux would be OS 0 and Windows would be 1. Change the number accordingly.
