    You can probably do it just by booting of your Mandrake install CD and going into rescue mode. Once in there your partition will be mounted somewhere under /mnt and you can edit the /etc/shadow file, eg:
    change
    Code:
    root:$1ghdjTGDjhJKFSFKJSFHJFDKSJF8/:13038:0:99999:7:::
    to
    Code:
    root::13038:0:99999:7:::
    And BTW no that isn't my real password hash I just pasted
