Also, check out SuperKaramba. Lots of really awsome eye-candy for KDE. As for the version, you should find it in the help area, look for 'about kde'.

Most standard KDE programs will have an "About KDE" in thier help menu. For example, Kate has the "About KDE" option in its help menu. It will tell you there.
