[SOLVED] No sound in flash movies
Hi all, I have Mozilla Firefox 1.0.7 and the latest Macromedia Flash Player, but I have no sound in the movies. Maybe I don't have the apropriate lib's for the sound ?

It's a bit of a bug in KDE. If you watch them in Gnomoe you should be fine, what I find is that if the sound system is idle for a minute or two (ie with no aRTs running) you will hear the sound). It's a messy one, I hope it is fixed soon.

Try changing the permissions at /usr/lib/mozilla-firefox-x.x.x so all users can access it. Worked for me

I was wondering if making firefox to use arts instead of gstreamer would help (would have tried allready if only knew how)

It's not a Firefox problem, because Konqueror and Mozilla open theese file's without sound too !

I got it fixed under konqueror quite easily. I'm not so good in explaining how to do stuff so i made a picture of it:

Just noticed that Kubuntu 5.10 doesn´t have this problem.

This is the problem, I have it too if I use KDE. Usually I just close out firefox, open the sound control and turn everything off then back on and it works just fine. I use gnome primarily though so I don't have this problem any more.
