Long ago I used a SEL mainframe , using Unix, and programmed a lot on Fortran and RelBase. So I recntly (4-5 yrs ago ) started using Linux to get some of the feel of programming again.
I found by lots of trial and error, and error, and error..... that its best to start with a clean Disk and let the system do its default partitioning and install.
Later on I reinstalled and customized widely.
Now, will try to add packages but was prevented by the DVD /cdrom probs.
Again... thanks
